"We recently visited Cicada Ridge Winery and the proprietor, Erwin Cain, with our
friends. The vineyard is beautiful and very well maintained. Erwin is very passionate
about wine-making and gave us a lot of helpful pointers on tasting wines. He is very
knowledgeable and loves to share his experience with visitors. We enjoyed tasting five of their wines, three white and two red. While they were all very good, our favorites were the
Blanc du Bois and the Paseante. We highly recommend visiting him and enjoying his

"Down an old county road, just a bit off the beaten path lies this little gem of a winery. My
wife and I just adore the owners, Erwin and Hope, who care for their vines like pets. (We
think they may even have named a few vines). The wines are quite good, but the Blanc
du Bois it out of this world. It's a wonderful place to enjoy an East Texas evening with a
bottle of great wine and new friends. See you there!"
